Tokyo station
The entrance of Tokyo area. Red-brick building of Marunouchi side completed the restore in October 2012. It restored to the original form of what build in 1914, by using materials that used to build first Tokyo station. You can see the scenery "This is Tokyo" around Tokyo station; there are Marunouchi building known as a popular office building, and KITTE using the part of old Tokyo central post office. The Tokyo Station Hotel, the hotel placed inside of Tokyo station, designated as an Important Cultural Property. -
Nijubashi-bridge
There's two bridges (stone bridge and iron bridge) led over the moats of Imperial Palace. The iron bridge is also known as Nijubashi (means double bridge) , because the original bridge was built on top of an auxiliary bridge. The area of Imperial Palace are very popular sightseeing spot for foreign visitors too. You can gaze at the contrasting scenery of tranquil area that surrounded with moans, and row of skyscrapers of Marunouchi area. The outer circumference of Imperial Palace is about 5km, and it's popular jogging course for Japanese runner. -
Asakusa
Asakusa is one of the most popular sightseeing spot in Tokyo that attract about 30million tourists every year from home to abroad. This traditional downtown area (called Shitamachi) includes Sensoji Temple known as the oldest temple in Tokyo, great paper lantern of Kaminarimon, and Nakamise-dori street. Recently, the number of foreign tourists have been increasing, so there are full of people every day like a festival. You can enjoy not only Shitamachi foods such as Tempra, but also enjoy sweets such as Ningyo-yaki and melon bread in Nakamise area. We also recommend you to try retro attraction at "Hanayashiki", the oldest amusement park in Japan that reminiscent of the Showa era. -
Tokyo Skytree
This traditional and modern structure opened in 2012 as a Tokyo's new landmark. The tower stands 634 meters tall, making it the tallest tower in the world. You'll be overwhelmed by the size of it if you see nearby. With two observation decks, you can overlook the landscape of Tokyo. If the weather permits, you can also see Mt.Fuji too. "Tokyo Solamachi" is located foot of Tokyo Skytree and you can enjoy shopping from various kind of shops, such as restaurants, character goods shops, souvenir shops. At night, you must see Tokyo Skytree's lighting named "Iki" and "Miyabi", which represents "Shitamachi" culture.
