Tokyo Metropolitan Government obsevatory
From 45th floor of Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, you can see the landscape of Tokyo from 202m above the ground for free, so it is popular for foreign visitors. It's open till 10:30pm, so you can enjoy the night view too. -
Kabukicho
Shinjuku's Golden-gai, the area once black market sprang up after World War II, is now popular drinking spot not only for Japanese but also foreign tourists. Various kind of bars over 200 packed in with nice Showa-era atmosphere.
Also, "Godzilla head" is located atop the Shinjuku Toho Building that opened 2015. Of course, it looks very strong in the daytime, but it looks more powerful in the night with light up.
