Sumida Park
This spot is known as a historic place that Edo-era shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune started to plant the cherry blossoms there. About 640 cherry blossom trees are planted on both sides of Sumida river, and you can enjoy the colaboration of cherry blossoms and TOKYO SKYTREE too. -
Ueno Park
One of the most popular cherry blossom spot in Tokyo. About 1,000 cherry blossom trees are planted in the wide grounds of park, and you will be impressed by the tunnel of cherry blossoms that leads to the fountains. -
Chidorigafuchi
Chidorigafuchi is one of most famous cherry blossom spot in Japan. About 260 cherry blossom trees planted at this promenade, and if you walk this promnade, you may feel as if you are walking inside the tunnel made from cherry blossoms. -
Yasukuni shrine
More than 2,466,000 divinities are enshrined at Yasukuni Shrine. These are souls of men who made ultimate sacrifice for their nation from Edo Era to The Greater East Asian War. In the precincts of a shrine, there are about 500 cherry trees are planted, including Tokyo's representative cherry tree that is used by the meteorological agency to pronounce the official opening of the blossoms in the city. At Yushukan, there are many exhibits related to wars, including Zero fighter plane. -
Zojoji Temple
Zojoji Temple grounds consist of some impressive structures as well as a mausoleum of the Tokugawa family. Standing next to Tokyo Tower, you can enjoy the contrast of temple and cherry blossoms. This makes popular sightseeing spot for foreigners too.
