  • Nihonbashi

    Nihonbashi, major commercial area in the Edo period (1603-1867), is the starting point of five major roads that lead into and out of Tokyo. Today, the Nihonbashi bridge carries a bronze signpost with the words "Origin of Roads in Japan," and the location is used as a base point to measure distances from Tokyo.
    Since it's located near central Tokyo, there are many new buildings and shopping center, but also, there are many traditional Japanese sweets shop, craft shop and restaurants that established in the Edo period too. You can enjoy modern side and traditional side of Tokyo.
  • Bank of Japan

    Bank of Japan issues banknotes as the only one issuer of Japan.
    The office is once located in Eitaibashi and moved to the site of a former gold mint (the Kinza).
    The Bank of Japan Head office is known for being the first national institution to be designed by Kingo Tatsuno, and completed in 1896.
    With a reservation, you can take a guided tour of the Main Building.
    Also, in front of head office, there is "Currency Museum" that you can study about Japanese Monetary and Economics through old coins and related materials.
  • Coredo Muromachi

    Comprised of four separate but adjunct skyscraper and shopping zones (Muromachi 1, 2, and 3), Coredo Muromachi is an ambitious complex that includes restaurants, stores, cinema, etc. Some of them dating back centuries, showcasing the finest traditional crafts and gourmet foods from all over Japan.
    Coredo Muromachi has many specialty shops, such as Gold-leaf Products store "HAKUZA NIHONBASHI", "Nihonbashi Kiya" the Japanese knives store that established 1792, and Taiwan Lifestyle & Bookstore "Seihin seikatsu nihonbashi".
  • Koami Shrine

    Having survived the firebombing of Tokyo in World War II, Koami Shrine is revered as a strong source of luck and protection from evil.
    The shrine contains “a well for washing money” and it is said that if you wash the money and put into the wallet, you will have good luck with money. That's why this shrine is also called “Tokyo Zeniarai Benten".
  • Suitengu Shrine

    Located in Nihonbashi, Suitengu Shrine often crowded with hopeful couples and expecting mothers praying for safe childbirth. If you touch one of your zodiac sign around the dogs, you will be blessed with child and safe birth.
