Items that were left behind inside taxis in Tokyo, including Hinomaru Taxis, can be searched by using an app called, “find chat”.
(“find chat” is available only from the companies that are members of the Tokyo Hire-Taxi Association and are utilizing the app.)

Items that were left behind inside taxis other than Hinomaru Taxis can also be searched by using “find chat” app, only if the company is a member of the Tokyo Hire-Taxi Association and is utilizing the app.
If you are unsure of whether the taxi you used is supported by this system or not, please check the vehicle number on the receipt and try using “find chat”.

About the “find chat” app

The “find chat” is a service operated by find, Inc. as a helpdesk for lost and found items inquiries for the taxis in Tokyo.

About find, Inc

We will store lost and found items at our business office for around one week, and if the owner cannot be identified during that time, we will hand over the items to the nearest police station.

Upon the taxi's return, we will take the necessary steps concerning the storage of lost and found items and notify our head office. Please note that we may check the contents of lost and found items for purposes of convenience.
Items that are biological in nature will be destroyed for hygiene reasons.
After checking the contents, we will contact the owner if we are able to identify the owner.
